Tezos Partners with Tribe for Developer Training
In a bold move to foster developer talent, Tezos has teamed up with Tribe, a blockchain platform backed by the Singapore government. This partnership aims to introduce an extensive training program designed to equip developers with essential skills needed for the Tezos blockchain. According to a blog post dated November 21, this initiative will kick off in the first quarter of 2020, targeting both aspiring and seasoned developers eager to explore real-world applications of blockchain technology.

Caleb Kow, the president of Tezos Southeast Asia (TSA), shared insights on the collaboration, emphasizing the goal of empowering trainers with in-depth knowledge of the Tezos blockchain. “By enabling trainers with a good knowledge of Tezos blockchain technology, they will be able to amplify the impact in their respective teams through the continual transfer and sharing of knowledge to new learners,” he stated. The emphasis on knowledgeable trainers suggests a robust framework for continuous learning and innovation.
Tezos’s Commitment to Development
This isn’t Tezos’s first foray into nurturing its development community. Earlier in September, the foundation made waves by awarding 14 new grants targeted at projects focused on Tezos smart contracts, tools for contract development, and marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing ecosystem awareness. This grant program highlights Tezos’s commitment to providing substantial resources that encourage creativity within its network.
Educational Initiatives Across Asia
Tezos’s efforts echo a broader trend in Asia, where governments are increasingly backing blockchain-related educational initiatives. For instance, the Guangzhou government recently announced a $140 million subsidy fund to bolster blockchain development. Furthermore, they are launching a nationwide blockchain innovation and entrepreneurship competition, complete with a substantial prize pool of 10 million yuan (approximately $1.4 million).
Tackling Fraud with Blockchain Technology
In Malaysia, the Ministry of Education has embraced blockchain innovation through the introduction of E-Skrol, an application that combats certificate fraud. Built on the NEM blockchain, E-Skrol directly addresses the surge in counterfeit educational degrees, often peddled by dubious diploma mills online. This initiative showcases how blockchain can serve as an effective solution to pressing societal issues.
