Bitstamp Teams Up with BitGo for Rock-Solid Crypto Asset Security

New Era of Security for Crypto Assets

In a bold move announced on October 9, Luxembourg-based Bitstamp, a major player in the crypto exchange arena, has chosen BitGo for custodianship of its digital assets. Starting October 10, 2019, the crypto assets managed by Bitstamp will be securely transitioned to BitGo’s sophisticated wallets. Now that’s a partnership that’s tighter than the last-handshake of a GIF!

Why BitGo?

Bitstamp’s Chief Technology Officer, David Osojnik, praised BitGo, remarking that it has been a steadfast partner for years. He stated, “Their exclusive focus on institutional services has allowed them to develop the tech and processes necessary for running a robust and compliant cryptocurrency exchange.” In simpler terms, BitGo doesn’t just play nice; they come equipped with the right tools for the job.

Insurance You Can Count On

With the crypto environment occasionally resembling a roller coaster ride, Bitstamp’s assets will enjoy peace of mind stored in cold storage within bank-grade vaults. How’s that for an upgrade? Furthermore, these assets are protected by BitGo’s impressive $100 million insurance policy, which could make even the most worried investor breathe easier.

Bitstamp: A Noteworthy Player in Crypto

As the 11th largest crypto exchange by daily trading volume, Bitstamp certainly carries its weight in the industry! With a reported 24-hour trading volume of $150.7 million, it keeps the wheels of the crypto economy turning. Just imagine the hustle and bustle of prices fluctuating as if they were at a dance party!

What’s New at BitGo?

But hold on there, crypto enthusiasts! BitGo isn’t just guarding assets; they are also branching out. Recently, they launched staking services for clients safeguarding their assets with the qualified custodian subsidiary, BitGo Trust. Currently, the fun kicks off with altcoins Dash (DASH) and Algorand (ALGO). Nothing says financial acumen like earning returns while you sleep, right?
