Coinbase Unveils the Convert Functionality

In an exciting move for crypto enthusiasts, San Francisco’s own Coinbase announced the launch of its new “Convert” service on December 17. This innovative feature allows users to effortlessly swap between popular cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and more. It’s a little like those magic trick shows where the magician pulls a rabbit out of a hat, except in this case, it’s your digital coins jumping from one wallet to another!

Availability Across Borders

Initially, the Convert service will be available to customers in 34 different countries that enjoy native payment access through Coinbase. This step reflects the platform’s intention to take a significant leap in providing international cryptocurrency service options. After all, who wouldn’t want to exchange Ethereum for Litecoin while lounging at a beach in Bali?

Part of the “12 Days of Coinbase” Initiative

The launch of the Convert feature is part of Coinbase’s festive promotional campaign dubbed the “12 Days of Coinbase,” reminiscent of the childhood classic Christmas song. This campaign has already seen the rollout of various new offerings, including the ability to withdraw fiat currency to PayPal accounts. To put it simply, Coinbase is making it rain…in fiat!

Past Integration Imprinted with Tinsel

Coinbase previously integrated with PayPal back in 2016, allowing users to sell Bitcoin directly into their PayPal wallets; however, this feature was short-lived due to technical difficulties by early 2018. But just like holiday traditions, old partnerships make for great stories!

Expanding New Features Beyond Currency Swaps

Beyond cryptocurrency conversions, Coinbase’s promotional campaign doesn’t stop there. It also features educational and charitable initiatives, illustrating the platform’s commitment to not only enriching the wallets of its users but also contributing positively to the community. Kind of makes you want to tip your hat, doesn’t it?

Coinbase Pro: Making Waves in the Exchange Arena

In the broader landscape of cryptocurrency exchanges, Coinbase’s professional platform, known as Coinbase Pro, continues to flourish, ranking as the 20th largest exchange globally in terms of 24-hour trading volume, fetching around $154 million. The exchange may just need a trophy case for all that digital currency bragging rights!
