Free TON Takes Decentralization to New Heights with Validator Expansion

Scaling New Heights with Validators

In a thrilling development for the blockchain world, Free TON has successfully integrated 105 independent validators into its mainnet, and that’s just the beginning. By the end of this year, over 440 validators are expected to join the network. This ambitious roadmap positions Free TON as a frontrunner in the proof-of-stake arena, aiming for true decentralization like a maestro conducting a symphony of validators.

A Block Time That’s Hard to Beat

What’s the rush, you ask? Well, Free TON boasts an average block time of just 0.2 seconds! To put that into perspective, it’s like comparing a cheetah to a turtle when stacked against the competition:

  • Polkadot: 239 validators, six-second block time
  • Cosmos: 262 validators, seven-second block time
  • Solana: 383 validators, 0.4-second block time
  • Near: 152 validators, one-second block time

While others are still tying their shoelaces, Free TON is already off to the races!

DePools: The Future of Decentralized Staking

What makes Free TON even more interesting is its innovative approach to validator stakes through DePools. Validators will add their stakes to decentralized pool smart contracts, locking them in for two years. Imagine a high-security vault without anyone holding the keys – that’s the essence of DePools. No one can control or manipulate the staked funds, offering an unassailable layer of security.

A Community-Driven Network

As TON Labs indicated, these DePools will be managed by independent validators across the globe. Rather than being held hostage by centralized staking services, users can look forward to a genuinely community-centered approach that invigorates the proof-of-stake marketplace. Think of it as a decentralized potluck where everyone gets to bring their own dish!

The Road Ahead: Scalability and Integration

Looking towards future innovations, Free TON members are particularly excited about increasing scalability across decentralized finance. Upcoming projects include integrations with secure messaging, social media platforms, the Internet of Things, and pioneering new on-chain business models. The world could soon be intertwining more than just finance – let’s hope it’s not my grocery list though!

Accessible Validators

One notable aspect of Free TON’s strategy is to dismantle the barriers that keep ordinary folks from getting involved in proof-of-stake networks. For example, to become a validator on Ethereum 2.0, users need to stake a whopping 32 ETH! That’s approximately $19,100 at current prices, which might make many closet crypto enthusiasts break into a cold sweat. Free TON’s inclusive approach allows more enthusiasts to contribute, no wallet bursting required!
