In exciting blockchain news, Gnosis Builders has just launched a hefty $5 million project aimed at beefing up the number and diversity of validators on the Gnosis Chain. Dubbed the “Gnosis VIP,” this initiative has a lofty mission: make the blockchain more robust and inclusive. Sounds fancy, right?
The Geographic Diversity Program
At the heart of the Gnosis VIP lies the new Geographic Diversity Program. With over 100,000 validators already gracing the Gnosis Chain from 60 different countries, the goal now is to expand this list to a whopping 180 countries by the end of the year. Talk about ambition!
Incentives to Participate
What’s in it for new validators, you ask? Well, for the first ten validators operating in each of the designated 90 countries, there’s a nice little incentive: 388 meta Gnosis (mGNO), which translates to approximately $1,368.18 based on the going rate from April 12. These mGNO tokens are the wrapped version of the native Gnosis coin, GNO, and can be converted back at a ratio of 1/32 GNO. The payments are staggered, starting with a tasty 38 mGNO after the first 30 days of operation. Plus, payments ramp up each month, culminating in a final disbursement of 98 mGNO worth about $345.57!
