The Ripple Integration Journey
Initially, the Ripple integration with ShapeShift faced a few hiccups. On January 16, the launch day, users like me were gearing up to exchange Bitcoin for Ripple. It was smooth sailing until I tried to send Ripple back to ShapeShift—only to be met with crickets. Thankfully, after a couple of emails and a bit of patience, my Ripple returned home.
The NuBits Mystery
As efficient as ShapeShift’s model is, it still has a few kinks to iron out. For instance, Ripple isn’t playing nice with NuBits, which is pegged to the dollar. Due to underlying compatibility issues, these two currencies weren’t exchanging pleasantries during my trials. But fear not, ShapeShift is working behind the scenes to fix this and will soon get NuBits in the game.
