Meet the New Chief Business Officer
In a significant move for the blockchain community, Jennifer Trelewicz, previously the chief technology officer of Google Russia, has officially joined the blockchain platform Credits (CS) as its chief business officer (CBO). The announcement, made on October 11, marks a new chapter in Trelewicz’s career, which has been colored by her extensive experience in technology and innovation.
From Tech Giants to Blockchain
Trewelicz’s journey into the world of blockchain began as the CEO of the Russian startup S7 TechLab, a role that allowed her to dip her toes into the rapidly evolving digital asset landscape. With previous stints as director in major firms like IBM and Deutsche Bank under her belt, Trelewicz brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Credits team.
Focus on Partnerships
As her first order of business, Trelewicz is prioritizing the establishment of new partnerships to fuel Credits’s growth potential. She has her sights set on collaborating with major corporations, notably IBM, which she sees as a prime ally for tackling complex solutions projects. In her own words, she expressed a commitment to nurturing relationships, stating:
“I will be nurturing and developing our relationships with partners, clients, and advisors worldwide. […] IBM is an excellent partner for complex solutions projects, and they have a worldwide channel for enterprise clients.”
Previous Collaborations and Future Directions
This commitment to building partnerships is not new for Credits. Back in September 2018, the platform announced it had joined forces with Lenovo’s New Vision Technology project. Such collaborations demonstrate a strategic push towards expanding their technological domain and influence in emerging tech.
Shifting Landscape: Tech Executives Embrace Blockchain
The trend of technology executives transitioning into the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors is becoming increasingly prevalent. In a world where digital assets are rapidly gaining momentum, many tech veterans are taking the plunge into this innovative field. For instance, Cointelegraph reported in early October that Multicoin Capital onboarded a former Google product manager. Similarly, former IBM cybersecurity expert Tom Noonan joined Bakkt, highlighting this fascinating shift.
The Road Ahead for Credits
With Trelewicz at the helm, Credits seems poised to navigate the intricacies of the blockchain ecosystem, fostering essential alliances that could redefine its future. Her diverse background and strategic approach may just be the catalyst the platform needs to catapult itself further into the limelight.
