The Deletion of Controversy
In a surprising turn of events, YouTuber Logan Paul has deleted his video threatening to sue Internet detective Stephen “Coffeezilla” Findeisen. This came as a response to Coffeezilla’s three-part series depicting Paul’s CryptoZoo project as something akin to a witch’s brew of scams and shams.
The Phone Call
On January 6, Coffeezilla tweeted about a chat he had with Logan, revealing that Paul had not only decided to delete his two contentious response videos but was also dropping the lawsuit threats. It was a moment that could only be described as a mix of “Shakespearean drama meets YouTube.” Coffeezilla tweeted:
“Logan called me. He said he’s deleting the two responses and is dropping the lawsuit threats.”
In true dramatic fashion, he added, “Hopefully this time he takes accountability and refunds the victims of CryptoZoo. That’s what matters.”
A Change of Heart
Sharing a lovely screenshot from the CryptoZoo Discord server, Coffeezilla highlighted Paul’s own admission of his initial rash behavior. Logan stated:
“It was rash and misaligned with the trust issue at hand, so I called him today and apologized.”
Paul seemed to have a lightbulb moment, recognizing that perhaps the war wasn’t with Coffeezilla after all. Instead, he expressed gratitude for the exposure and vowed to take accountability moving forward.
At Time of Writing…
As of now, Paul’s January 3 video response to Coffeezilla has officially been scrubbed from YouTube. However, the tweet linking to the video remains alive and kicking, much like that persistent Wi-Fi signal you can’t seem to shake. And who could forget his initial defiant post from December 23, where he asserted the allegations against him as “Not true”? Oh, the irony!
The Ongoing Saga
The verbal feud began when Coffeezilla dropped the first part of his video series on December 17, accusing CryptoZoo of incorrect business practices and holding Paul’s feet to the fire while he was busy gold-plating his brand. Whether Paul addresses this tête-à-tête with another response video remains yet to be seen, as Coffeezilla hinted that Logan might just be cooking up a third response.
Cointelegraph reached out to both parties for comments, but the silence was deafening, as neither Paul nor Coffeezilla decided to break their radio silence.
