NFTMe: A New Amazon Documentary Series Showcasing the NFT Community

The capacity to digitally authenticate almost everything, and the possibility of monetizing in ways nobody could even imagine before, are some of the ways that Amazon’s new documentary series NFTMe introduces nonfungible tokens (NFTs).

The show features artists, collectors, and industry professionals across the world sharing their experiences with NFTs and how the merger between art and technology has positively affected their daily lives.

About the Series

In six 30-minute episodes, NFTMe introduces 50 pioneers in the NFT space from four continents. The lineup includes:

  • Susaye Greene – American singer from The Supremes
  • Queen Diambi Kabatusuila – Of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
  • Refik Anadol – Digital artist for SpaceX and NASA
  • Peter Rafelson – Music producer for Madonna
  • Cheryl Douglas – Of Portion, who launched NFT collections for the Black-Eyed Peas

The first episode explores the NFT community and the personal journeys of various individuals through digital culture, with leading influencers breaking down NFTs and blockchain technology. Moreover, Queen Diambi highlights how her tribes naturally exhibit a Web3 mindset.

The Story Unfolds

The second episode delves into Refik Anadol’s collaboration with NASA and recounts how a request from Eminem 20 years ago spurred an NFT journey. Subsequent episodes focus on how brands connect with NFTs to reach new audiences, the social impact of digital transformation, tokenization in the music industry, and NFTs’ role in empowering artists.

Among the highlights is CrossTower co-founder Kristin Boggiano breaking down regulation’s role in keeping the NFT market on track in episode five.

Production Insights

The documentary series is produced by Tech Talk Media and directed by award-winning director Jonny Caplan. Although the production began in 2019, it had to adapt due to COVID-19 restrictions, which included the use of A.I. robots equipped with LiDar sensors, enabling the director to remotely direct and communicate.

NFTMe aims to be the MTV of NFTs, serving as a go-to source for clear, understandable information on NFTs while allowing viewers to engage with the culture, mood, style, and energy of the Web3 realm.

Availability

The series is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime, initially in the United States and the United Kingdom, with plans to roll out worldwide to more broadcasters in 2023.
