Sharder’s Ambitious Expansion
Sharder, a rising star in the blockchain data storage space, is gearing up to expand its storage capabilities significantly. The company aims to become the go-to storage hub for the new Island blockchain application. With an impressive increase of 96 terabytes to its existing 32 terabytes, Sharder is ready to take on the data demands of the blockchain world.
Meet Boxes: The New Storage Hero
Enter Boxes, Sharder’s latest application that will serve as a pivotal storage hub for Island. Paul Rogash, the Chief Marketing Officer at Sharder, explained to Cointelegraph that Boxes is designed to seamlessly interact with other blockchain applications, enhancing both security and storage capacity. “Imagine a vault that not only guards your treasures but also expands to accommodate your growing collection,” Rogash quipped.
Launch Timeline and Expectations
Set to launch in the third quarter of this year, Boxes has already captured attention with promises of enhancing data security and accessibility. The Island application, specifically aimed at managing sensitive data, is expected to roll out globally by October. Sharder signed a development contract in February, solidifying partnerships that will guide the future of secure data storage.
The Anatomy of Secure Storage
Sharder prides itself on secure file storage across several blockchains. Its model ensures data safety through encryption and fragmentation, distributing file fragments across various nodes. This method doesn’t just add a layer of security; it also simplifies data authentication and validation. “We’re not just storing your casual selfies; we’re safeguarding sensitive information like medical files and police reports,” Rogash emphasized.
Collaborations and Future Trajectories
In addition to partnering with Island, Sharder is also collaborating with SignEase and Filecoin, exploring further advancements in decentralized storage infrastructure. The company has also introduced its token, SS, allowing users to pay for their storage needs. As Rogash stated, Sharder is not resting on its laurels and is in discussions with various organizations to further solidify its standing as a secure data storage hub.
