Another Successful Fundraising Round
The Tribe Accelerator, backed by the Singaporean government, has once again proved its mettle by raising an impressive $15.7 million for companies within its ecosystem. As announced in a press release on December 2, Tribe Accelerator has to date helped raise a jaw-dropping total of $28 million to bolster startups globally that are tackling real-world challenges using blockchain technology.
Startups Making Waves
The initial cohort of startups raised over $12.2 million in just three months. This isn’t just pocket change—these funds are being put to work to bring innovative solutions to life. Ng Yi Ming, the Managing Partner of Tribe Accelerator, expressed that the successful fundraising ‘underscores the relevance of blockchain technology in solving real-world problems.’ He believes each idea shared holds the potential to revolutionize entire industries—no pressure there, right?
Backing From Big Players
Launched in December 2018 by Trive Ventures, Tribe Accelerator connects blockchain startups with significant corporate partners. It has garnered support from heavyweights such as PwC, the Icon Foundation, BMW Group Asia, and Intel. Recently joining forces with Tribe for their second cohort are tech titans including IBM, Citibank, and even the video game juggernaut, Ubisoft. With such a roster, it’s hard to imagine how these startups can go wrong. Cross your fingers, folks!
Tezos Training Initiative
In an exciting development, Tezos Southeast Asia (TSA) has teamed up with Tribe to roll out a training program aimed at developers keen on mastering the Tezos blockchain. President of TSA, Caleb Kow, enthused that empowering trainers with solid Tezos knowledge could lead to a cascading impact across teams. In simpler terms, knowledge is power, and TSA is ready to unleash a skilled developer army into the wild.
The Road Ahead
As Tribe Accelerator continues to fuel innovation in the blockchain industry, the spotlight is on the transformative ideas and solutions emerging from its supportive environment. With major players backing it, only time will tell what groundbreaking technologies will make their debut. One thing is for sure—blockchain is firmly establishing its role as a game-changer in the tech world, so buckle up!
